MRI-DUAL-SPECT: Loading 2nd SPECT 

Having loaded a reference MRI scan , loaded an interictal SPECT and brought these images into registration , switch to the first MRI-DUAL-SPECT display mode in the MRI-PET/SPECT tool:

Now drag the third ictal SPECT onto the lower row in the rview window to load it as image B. As with the MR-SPECT registration example , if the images are not all transaxial, then select the image B starting estimate in the alignment tool, for the acquired data orientation.

 
Once the images have comparable acquisiton direction, registration of the second SPECT can be started. Here there are two options to bring the second SPECT image into alignment with the MRI and interictal SPECT. Given these first two images are already aligned, we can:

For many images, experimentally, it is better to align the two similar SPECT images directly, rather than via the MRI. (In our application it is also much faster!). To do this select the option:
