Regional SPECT/PET Measurements
Rview can be
used to
calculate regional SPECT or PET measurements within 3D anatomical
regions delineated on the subjects MRI scans (this is in addition to
those available using the manual 2D ROI tool).
To do this you will need
to do the following basic steps: (please read the appropriate manual
pages for further detail)
1. Load and Register the SPECT or PET scan
(as floating image A) with the MRI scan (as reference image).
2. Use
'Transform and Save' in the alignment tool
to transform the SPECT study to the Reference MRI co-ordinates and save
to a new image file e.g. to an analyze file: 'SPECT2mri.hdr'
3.Use the Segmentation tool to delineate the 3D regions
of interest within the MRI scan
4. Use 'Apply to
File' in the segmentation tool
to calculate the average values in the PET/SPECT study in each
marked region in the MRI in the image file 'SPECT2mri.hdr'.
