1. Setting up A Fused MRI-PET/SPECT Display


When viewing nuclear medicine data overlaid onto MRI anatomy, using the full range of values in the two scans often  does not always provide a useful display of the structures of interest from the two images, for example, the following image pair displayed with default grey and green colour tables:

The first step is to zoom in to make more use of the rview windows (using the insert key!)

Then it is common to manually refine the range of SPECT or PET values displayed to maximise the contrast of fused structures of interest. The following pages give some pointers on the approach to take...
